Oplossing - Soltion
* als het grondtal |x| = 1 mag de exponent eender welk getal zijn
Dus x = 1 en x = −1 zijn al zeker oplossing
* wegens de formule a0 = 1 mag ook de exponent nul zijn
x² − x − 6 = 0 ⇔ (x + 2)(x − 3) = 0 ⇔ x = −2 ∨ x = 3
Besluit : er zijn vier oplossingen : −2, −1, 1 en 3
