Oplossing - Solution

A → Daar \(\sqrt{x-5} \geq 0 \) kan \(\sqrt{x-5} \) slechts gelijk zijn aan \(-\sqrt{x-5} \) als ze gelijk zijn aan nul : dit gebeurt voor x = 5
B → \(\sqrt{x-5} =x - 5 \)
⇒ x − 5 = (x − 5)²
⇔ x − 5 = x² − 10x + 25
⇔ 0 = x² − 11x + 30
⇔ 0 = (x − 5).(x − 6)
⇔ x = 5  ∨  x = 6
via proef (of K.V. en BV. die hier overigens dezelfde zijn) vindt men dat de twee oplossingen correct zijn.
