Oppervlakte van het grondvlak van de piramide is precies de helft van dat van de kubus.
Vermits de volgende formules voor de inhoud kunnen gehanteerd worden :
Inhoud kubus :     oppervlakte grondvlak x hoogte
Inhoud piramide : 1/3 oppervlakte grondvlak × hoogte
