Oplossing - Solution

De nulwaarden van   y = (x − 1)(x − 3) zijn 1 en 3.
De top heeft dus als abscis 2 (gemiddelde van 1 en 3) en als ordinaat (2 − 1)(2 − 3) = − 1.
Vermits de parabool een dalparabool is zijn dus alle y-waarden vanaf − 1 mogelijk.
